Theme Ideas again

From the beginning we were originally leaning against the idea of tiki theme. I have been trying to get an idea on what we can wear, and from there I think we need to finalize a theme for our Market Palace.
Tiki theme I feel would would a more warmer yellow of light, with pinks, reds and oranges etc. I have the idea of wearing grass skirts etc if we were to do tiki themed. Although this theme would give a more relaxed chilled vibe I feel as if it can get a bit controversial depending on how we handle it. Also with the other groups being cat themed and alice in wonderland themed (quite similar themes) it might be a bit too much going on in one room.

I thought of a theme that might be a bit more related to the groups around us, personally I don't like the idea of using cats. Therefore I thought we could also have a fairytale theme and in particular I was thinking Peter pan maybe. Going to "Neverland" the room will be a fairytale a way from the reality of our dreaded exams and hand-ins coming up. I thought it would be cool if we dressed up as the 5 main characters: Peterpan, Tinker bell, Wendy, Micheal and John. We could have a white mural behind the lit table that would look a bit like the "Never grow up" image underneath. We can also have little jars all around with the battery lit fairy lights inside them to create a "magical" like area. I thought it would also be a good idea to have stickers for people who come into the room, as a way to advertise where we are, (the image I quickly drew up underneath) that says "Second star to the right and straight onto 10B05"

. While Peter pan can be good in the like to relate the idea to the groups around us it can also be "too much" and in particular to people that are not interested in fairy tales etc, therefore may prevent people from coming into our room.

 The last idea I had for costumes was to just wear plain tshirts and use glow in the dark paint and print the designs we use on our bottles onto our tshirts. It would be simple and then we won't have to many other ideas going on.
We could also use the other idea Izzy proposed so guys what are your opinions?

Possible start/ Marketing

Heres a quick poster I put together. Any feedback would be great, be straight up about it. If you don't think the style is working just say. This would be the one with the tags (obviously) so we could just start of by having a poster that without the white space underneath and then in the week coming up to  the market we could put these posters up. What do you guys think?

Marketing Idea

Hey, as an idea I thought we could have a poster where you have those pull of a tag at the bottom i.e

and each tag could perhaps be one free throw (with a limit of one per person)... What do you guys think?

Hey, I've been thinking for the marketing of our team that we need a team name in stead of just team 29, which isn't exciting or interesting... Soooo any ideas??

Layout of classroom

We started sorting out the layout to our dark space with the other groups on Wednesday. With our final decision of it being (not to scale):

However I felt as if the walkway was a bit messy so I started doing sketches of possible solutions which we can bring up with the other teams:

These are all my rough sketches and from there I liked the idea of:

This one I liked because the walkway is in the middle with nothing being at the end and groups being either side. in this case I think it would be good to have a curtain hanging from the hooks between group 29 and the cat wall and just a small curtain covering the beginning of the mini put group then all open space so the customer can see into each group easily.

The other idea I liked was the walkway being against the back wall and lit up with the lines between stalls being curtains seperating the groups, the cat wall can be against the back wall and the two sides  if they like and so the customer can walk in and have everything open to see again. My main concern with this one is whether people will think they have got the right room when then come in, therefore I think it could be possible to make the front wall a scratch wall too (with the cat group) and have the miniput and hoop throwing split the other half. 

I think it would also be cool if our groups got together again and made this whole dark room space a bit more communal, by putting in bean bags etc around the room making it a place to chill. 

To do: we need to meet with other dark room groups and discuss the layout and walk way further, as well as talk about how communal we want the room to be. 

I will take measurements of the room tomorrow and make a more accurate layout plan.
